AFTER AN ABDUCTION / ATTEMPTED CHILD ABDUCTION HAS OCCURRED
Guides for Families and Community Leaders
While child abduction is rare, it is a parent’s worst nightmare. When a child is victimized through abduction, it affects the entire community. For parents, questions often arise, such as “How can I keep my child safe?” and “How do I know if my child has been affected?” Community leaders may wonder “How have residents been impacted?” and “What can I do to support them?”
The below resources have been designed to help guide families and community leaders on steps they can take to help their children and to support their community. If you have questions that are not answered in these guides, please do not hesitate to contact staff at MissingKids.ca for additional support. Click here to contact us.
